I have a lot to update. Quite a few things had happen since my last post. Last week, my LOA was supposed to end on Thursday but it got extended to Friday. Looking back, I can’t believe I missed school for a week. I just came back to school this Monday.
A quick update of what happen last weekend, including Friday night. On my last day of LOA, I went out to the Robinson’s Sale at Expo. I was told by my brother that there are inline skates for sale. That night, I met up with my brother and his two friends. Sella tagged along too. I bought an inline skates at a price below 60 bucks. Trust me, I’m a newbie so I don’t need expensive skates.
For the earlier part of Saturday, my niece and I practiced on the skates. She doesn’t have one so we took turns using mine. I had never own a pair of inline skates so it made sense that I had never really tried playing with it. Except for once or twice I tried on other people’s skates. All I had ever been enjoying something that’s close to rollerblading was ice skating. So when I tried on my very own pair of skates, practicing and getting use to it came almost easy. It’s like second nature. No, I still need time to get season to it though. My feet get tired very easily.
For the later part of Saturday, I brought my niece out to shop at Bugis. The stuffs at Bugis Street didn’t really catch my attention. I was vaguely disappointed with how things went because there was almost nothing that I wanted to spend my moolah on. I ended up buying accessories only.
Having felt so tired by the time night falls on Saturday, I thought I wanted to bail when Sunday morning comes. I had plans to go rollerblading with my brother and his friends. I decided to just go ahead, and not break my promise. Lucky Dad sent us to East Coast Park or I’d be left crying. Okay, I’m kidding, it’s not that dramatic. Spend almost the whole day at the park and I was so tired! Such a shame I had to come back to school the next day.
When Monday comes, I went out with Mark and Nana after school. It was actually unexpected. First, we ate at Popeye’s Chicken. Then we had ice cream at Gelatissimo. Then we had this idea of checking out Singapore Flyer. In the end, we bought the student price weekday special tickets. I’m afraid of heights, I tell you. But no matter what situation I’m in, I always try to put up a brave front, even if it fails. I don’t dare to stand up at first but after awhile, I did! Next time, I’ll try to walk around. After Singapore Flyer, we went to Clarke Quay and sat at Nectarie le'Dessert Patisserie. I had ice minty mocha and we three shared the waffle with chocolate syrup. Yummy!
On Tuesday, I took half a day off from school. I wasn’t feeling good. I was feeling drowsy the whole time and I felt like vomiting. I know I wouldn’t be of good use or I might just faint so I decided to go home.
And today, I went to Ikea (Tampines) with Mark, Adam and Fyzzah. It was great eating and chatting with them. But boys, it’s back to school tomorrow! No more staying home!
Goodnight for now! I love you, readers.
